Meeting between University's Vice-Chancellor of International Affairs and Dr. Abhiijeet Wahegaonkar, Head of the Department of the Sancheti Institute for Orthopedics and Rehabilitation in India
On Monday, December 25, Dr. Faizi, the university's vice-chancellor of international affairs, hosted a meeting with Dr. Abhiijeet Wahegaonkar, chairman of the department of hand surgery at the Sancheti Orthopedic Institute, one of the most important orthopedic centers in India, Dr. Ebrahimpour, chairman of the department of orthopedic surgery in Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences, Dr. Lahiji, deputy of educational affairs of the department of orthopedic surgery, Dr. Okhovatpour, deputy of research affairs of the section of orthopedic surgery at Taleghani Hospital and Dr. Mafi, International advisor of the university.
During this visit, Dr. Faizi welcomed the guests and described the development of international relations between the academic staff of the orthopedic departments, including student exchange, faculty exchange, and the development of joint research projects. Further, Dr. Wahegaonkar, expressed his interest on holding Short-term training courses for exchange of medical residents and fellowship programs as well as collaborative research projects.
At the end of the meeting, a memorandum of understanding was signed between the chairman of the department of orthopedic surgery of Shahid beheshti University of Medical Sciences and the chairman of the Department of hand surgery at the Sancheti Orthopedic Institute in India.
